Vexxcast

The original cast of Vexx, with a scrapped enemy on the left.

The Vexx soundtrack was composed by Nelson Everheart and consists of 60 songs for various different worlds and sections. The Vexx soundtrack consists mainly of atmospherical tones of each world that match the ambiance mostly well, although the technological limitations of 2003 have greatly diminished the potential of each tune. Each song contains a combination of nostalgic orchestral and partially futuristic instruments, creating a unique environment present in every level of Vexx. Although only 32 songs were released at a span of time, a total of 59 have been published. 59 of these were uploaded onto YouTube by user GameRaterAlpha.

In November 2017, a user by the name of 3dmarth managed to access the game's files and rip the complete soundtrack from the disk. Consisting of 65 different songs, including two seemingly unused ones, the download for the full soundtrack can be found here.

On May 6th, 2020, Respawned Records announced that an official vinyl set based off of the Vexx soundtrack was being produced in a limited capacity. It is the only official release of the Vexx soundtrack in any form.

Vinyl[]

In May 2020, Respawned Records, a video game music label, announced via Twitter that an officially-licensed double LP vinyl set based off of the Vexx soundtrack was being produced with only 500 being pressed. It began to ship in late September 2020. This was the first official piece of Vexx merchandise since Throwback Entertainment obtained the rights to the Vexx franchise from Acclaim Studios. Respawned Records also announced via Twitter that a giveaway stream was planned for September 5th, where they would giveaway a KEYSPAWN variant signed by composer Nelson Everhart for only 10 customers. The live stream was delayed to an unspecified date, however.

All of the artwork for the vinyl was made by Preston Gomez, known as "presteasy" on Twitch.tv. The color design was described as the "Eye of Yabu" 3 color mix of yellows and black.
