The PlayStation 2, often shortened to PS2, is a 2000 Japanese video game console developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is one of the three consoles that Vexx was released for, alongside the Nintendo GameCube and Microsoft's Xbox. Vexx takes up 72kb of space on the PS2's Memory Card.
Vexx can also be played on the PS2's successor, the PlayStation 3, although later models of the console do not support PS2 disc compatibility. As of now, Vexx is not available to download from the PlayStation Network nor to stream from PlayStation Now.
In March of 2021, three prototype builds of the PlayStation 2 version of Vexx were dumped onto the Internet by video-game preservationist website Hidden Palace.
Trivia[]
- In the PS2 version, the Grimkin doesn't have fire effects on its head, though this has no effect on the gameplay.
- However, in the prototype build dated to November 2nd, 2002, Grimkins still have flames on their heads.
- The PS2 version has longer loading times overall than the GameCube and Xbox versions. This is likely because the PS2 is less powerful than the aforementioned consoles.
