Yabu's Guards are huge axe-wielding enemies found only in Citadel of Shadows. They swing with authority and are quick for their size. When attacked, the guards block with their mighty axehead. The player can hurt them by using the Ground Pound ability or by sneaking up behind them. The guards will use their axes as a shield against hits as well. Getting hit by them will knock Vexx some distance and remove two health-points.

Yabu's Guards appear troll-like in their faces. They wear helmets on their heads with horns on them. They have four fingers and three toes on their feet. Their skin appears navy blue at night and light tan at daytime.
